When we were asked to transform an outdated primary suite with a closed-off bathroom and undersized closet, our goal was to create a brighter, more functional retreat while preserving the home's timeless character. Once again, we collaborated with John DeCurtis of Troy Cabinet Manufacturers to bring the vision to life.

The existing layout was completely reimagined by relocating walls to improve circulation and create a seamless transition from the bedroom into the bath and dressing areas. The journey begins through a striking arched entryway, where a custom-built walnut cabinet serves as a beautiful focal point, welcoming you into the suite.

The vanity and shower became the centerpiece of the design. A floating bench, softened by an elegant floral waterjet tile installation, creates a luxurious spa-like feel that is echoed behind the vanity. Pale taupe custom cabinetry, layered lighting, and thoughtfully placed mirrors brighten the space, while a dedicated makeup vanity positioned in front of the windows allows the homeowners to enjoy natural light and peaceful views of the surrounding trees.

To add personality, a vibrant floral wallpaper was framed by classic molding within the water closet, introducing color and charm without overwhelming the overall design.

The primary closet was expanded into the adjoining guest bathroom, creating enough space for a custom storage island that significantly improved organization and functionality.

The finished suite is a harmonious blend of classic and contemporary design—where cherished antiques coexist effortlessly with clean-lined custom cabinetry, resulting in a sophisticated, timeless retreat tailored to the homeowners' lifestyle.
