Tucked away in a distinguished Loudonville neighborhood, was a well-loved family home ready for a new life. At first, we were tasked with a renovation of the primary suite, closets and bathroom - but then this family gave us the go-ahead to renovate their whole first floor the next year. Not only seeing their out-dated primary bathroom turned into such a sophisticated and elegant space, but also an empty attic space over their garage turned into a walk-in closet of their dreams, they happily handed us the keys to start on the first floor while they went away for the winter.
Nearly every room in this three-story home was transformed from its dark 90s Tuscan style. Working with local cabinet maker Troy Cabinetmakers, TCM, we opened the kitchen with custom cabinetry, quartzite counters and backsplash, and a walnut island with seating. A new dining banquette now takes in window views beside the coffee bar. Updated stairs and foyer feature a custom glass-and-metal railing, while the living room, sunroom, and dining room were refreshed with inviting, luxurious touches. A cool palette of midnight, violet, and sky blues, chocolate, and cream ties it all together. On their spring return, the clients were elated—relieved to see their dream home complete. This home achieved a record selling price because of IDA's work.
