Welcoming Waldorf

Historical renovation is an important part of beautiful Saratoga Springs. So being asked to collaborate with Bonacio, Saratoga’s premier construction and development company, and design the interior of their adaptive reuse of a historical property, we jumped right in! This grand Tudor style building was originally a carriage house in the early 20th century then later became the Waldorf School of Saratoga Springs. Now it’s taken on a new life as The Waldorf, luxury high-end condominiums. By combining our respective talents, we created a stunning transformation and a master class of modern design in a traditional historical residence. Layered textures and exquisite material finishes settle the space, and a rich color palette with high-end lighting adds the drama. Dark coffered ceilings and herringbone hardwood floors nod to the integrity of the property, and updated luxurious details create a sophisticated and elevated space. The Primary Bedroom is a modern take on Livia’s Garden Room in ancient Rome with bespoke mural walls, a moody pastel color palette, and a mix of patterns and sumptuous textiles. Overheard at the Open House, ‘they worked in so many love notes to Saratoga into the design’ - our work here is complete. It was a joy to collaborate with Bonacio, share in maintaining the history of our town, and love how it turned out - timeless, elegant, and inviting.
