I worked with Linda over the past few months on my basement office renovation. It was a bit dark and dreary originally, and she helped me make it into a fun & beautiful office oasis. Linda was really great to work with – she’s kind, patient, organized, and responsive. I’m not always the easiest and can be particular about design, workmanship, organization, and time, but linda was very accommodating and easy to work with. I feel like a lot of designers around Saratoga tend to lean towards a style that’s a bit heavy and old fashion, but I was looking for someone who would work in a more contemporary, fun, and bright manner. Linda quickly understood my taste and then started making great recommendations. The subs she brought in were quality. We planned in advance and then she scheduled and executed everything over a short time while I was out of town, which made the renovation really convenient for me! Most importantly, she cares and takes pride in everything she does. I will definitely work with Linda again and would recommend her!

Having worked with Linda Gerace-Skinner over a number of years and three homes, her reputation of honesty, reliability and client understanding is equal to her vision, insight, and obvious talent. More importantly, Linda listens to the thoughts and feelings of her clients through what they tell her. Several years ago when trying to “warm & cozy up” a large family room with a two story ceiling, Linda worked with our chosen color scheme and our furniture to create an intimate setting. Given the size of the room, she helped us choose some additional furniture pieces, window treatments, and fabrics which would enhance this intimacy! When downsizing from this 4,000 sq ft home to one of under 2,000 sq ft, Linda’s continual understanding of our needs, style, and budget enabled us to blend these pieces of furniture as well a few new ones. Our current home, which was featured in the 2014 Saratoga Showcase of Homes, is a reflection of Linda’s talent for what decorating pieces, colors and accents work and why and has given this home such personality and style, a reflection of us, what we love, and what makes our house a home!

Diane has an amazing ability to transform the bland and ordinary into tastefully extraordinary. Referring to her as a truly gifted interior designer does not come close to describing her talent. I recommend Diane’s acute eye for color and organizational skills to anyone who wants to improve the image of their home or business. I consider it an added bonus when I find a designer who is not only enormously skilled in all aspects of design but fun to work with as well. I found Linda after working with another decorator who not only dragged his feet but wasted my time and then charged me for it. I was desperate to finish a project before a significant family event. A friend suggested I work with Linda and she got it done in record time. Her energy is amazing! That was 11 years ago, since then she completely remodeled my master bath and powder bath and updated 3 bedrooms and a library in our Upstate NY home. Linda traveled with me to Florida where we were building a house and helped me pick out everything – cabinets, flooring, fixtures, furniture – EVERYTHING! I was completely overwhelmed but Linda handled it calmly, working day and night until everything was selected in the time allotted. Currently, we are working together on another house which she helped design. The fact that we have worked together this long on so many projects should in and of itself speak to my confidence in Linda’s abilities and my pleasure in working with her. I trust Linda completely. Her instincts are excellent; her sense of design is outstanding. She thinks about all the details involving esthetics and functionality. And, while I like being involved, she does all the hard work in putting it all together and taking the burden off me. I love what she has created!

My husband and I, after living in a center hall colonial for 21 years, decided to build a very modern home! Having no idea where to even begin, we decided to hire Diane Meyer for her expertise in designing!! She was incredibly knowledgeable and a fantastic designer and created a most beautiful home for us, both inside and outside!! From her overall ideas, texture selections, paint colors, tile choices, cabinetry ideas, light fixtures etc. down to pillows for our couch, she was fantastic. Any ideas my husband and I had on our own, we always ran by Diane first knowing she’d steer us in the right direction!! My husband and I have been working with Linda Gerace for more than 15 years on every home improvement project, large and small. Indeed, there is not a room in our home that Linda has not enhanced. Linda undertakes each and every project – – from our recent home exterior improvements to home office renovations – – with extraordinary talent, creativity and enthusiasm. That said, when my law partners and I decided to move into approximately 10,000 square feet of new space, our first and only call was to Linda. Linda assessed our individual and collective space needs and grasped our vision. She then took responsibility for every aspect of the undertaking from the layout to the flooring, wallcoverings, lighting, finishes, furniture, artwork and accessories. She juggled the countless construction and fit-up details with ease and guided us through all of our selections. Overall, Linda demonstrated an impressive level of expertise and professionalism throughout the entire process. The result is beautiful and functional office space that we will enjoy for many years to come. Of equal importance is Linda’s personality. She is confident and decisive, but never pushy. As my business continued to expand, I had the opportunity to add an additional aircraft hangar to our existing operation. Diane took the time to observe the operation and culture of the company before presenting the vision to my entire team for “The Hangar”. The aviation theme pulled in various aspects of the history of the business in addition to my history as the owner. The space was organized into secure functional work areas that kept the theme while still flowing with the design. Diane was very creative and kept the CFO on his toes with her ability to stay within our budget, but yet have very unique and fun items through the building. She presented ideas which were outside of what we thought was possible. Diane was also truly a customer advocate when managing the project with the contractors through various stages of the renovations to the hangar. The architect was amazed at Diane’s ideas and choice of materials she used to transform the hangar space into a multi-functioning space, which includes an event venue for the company. Several key executives which joined the company, and the private equity firm which eventually purchased the company, noted the design and layout as key influencers to their decisions. In fact, I ensured the hangar was not part of the purchase and I still enjoy operating my family office from this location. Now, one of the Capital Region’s leaders in catering and weddings will use the hangar space as one of their premium venues. My wife and I have since utilized Diane’s design and project management services for major renovations to our primary home and she has provided guidance with our lake front property.
